Razer Leviathan – Elite Gaming & Music Sound Bar Review
Sound bars were created to solve the messy wiring problem and complex setup of 5.1 surround sound systems. They look sleek and attractive and sit directly under the screen so that the source matches the video source (in many stereo or surround sound setups if you are not sitting at the ‘sweet spot’ you will hear more of either the left speakers or right speakers).
The Razer Leviathan is designed for both the desktop PC market and the console gaming speaker market. It includes a single soundbar (compact at only 50cm long) with two 2.5” full range drivers and two 0.74” tweeter drivers. There is also a separate 5.25” driver subwoofer system that pumps the bass down into the floor for added amplification. The subwoofer puts out 30 Watts whilst the soundbar half of that per speaker pair.
Connectivity is through a 3.5mm jack, an optical connection or Bluetooth 4. The system includes NFC for easy Bluetooth pairing.
The Razer Leviathan includes advanced Dolby processing circuits for expanding any normal stereo input into virtual 5.1 surround sound. This means you hear the crunching footsteps of the guy creeping up behind you (in a game or a movie) from behind you, where the sound should be coming from!
The soundbar and the subwoofer are attractively designed and add to the visual appeal of your setup.
