Tritton Warhead 7.1 Dolby Wireless Surround Sound Headset for Xbox Review
Perhaps one of the less conventionally shaped headsets in our review, the Tritton Warhead certainly looks the part of esport style of headsets. The outer ear cover looks hexagonal and almost alien like, which is refreshing from the standard circular and oval shaped ear pieces that dominate the market at present.
The charging base looks really good, and features a charging progress bar as well as a few ancillary functions. The 7.1 surround sound functionality works really well, and the sound experience is really good. Having a wireless device with 24-hour functionality is like being on Cloud 9, being able to swap out batteries at any time is really convenient, especially in a wireless package like this.
The speaker drivers are 50mm in diameter and have enough power to rumble in your ears, or squeal with high pitched shrieks, depending on your usage. The EQ settings are easy to manipulate, and they are quite robust as far as customization goes, so no matter the game or musical genre that you find yourself listening to, there will be plenty of tweaking opportunity for you.
In ear controls are easy to use, and are intuitively placed. The microphone is crisp and clear, and features built in echo cancellation and monitoring, this allows for excellent communication in game and will ensure that you are always heard loud and clear on the virtual battle field. Don’t feel like talking? The microphone can be disabled or detached, depending on your requirements.
This is a great choice for gamers, with appropriate looks and tons of features, there isn’t a whole lot not to like about this product. The unique looks really count in this device’s favor, and there is certainly a lot to say about the high quality construction and materials that are in use in this product’s design and implementation.
