Acer is ending the first half of the year with a bang! The Taiwanese brand introduced new and upgraded models of its Predator Helios, Nitro, and Triton lineups during its global online conference. These gaming notebooks now feature Intel’s latest processors, high-performance graphic cards, higher refresh rates, and better cooling enhancements to ensure that gamers can live their dreams. While the products differ in prices and specs, they all feature upgrades that would make them a fan favorite in no time.
The Predator Helios Lineup
Predator Helios 700
Starting with the Predator Helios 700, Acer claims this is one notebook that can rival the performance and even take the spot of your desktop PC. Endowed with the famous sliding Hyperdrift Keyboard Acer fans are used to, the Helios 700 now features a 10th Gen Intel Core i9-10980HK overclockable processor. And if that seems to be too much, buyers can opt for the Intel Core i7-10875H version. Both versions of the Predator Helios 700 feature either the NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2080 SUPER or the RTX 2070 SUPER GPUs.
Additionally, the Core i9 variant will feature a new thermal management solution dubbed the Predator PowerGem. According to the Taiwanese brand, this thermal solution is 3.83 times better at handling heat emission than copper. Both the i9 and the i7 variants will get two Thunderbolt ports, faster 2933Hz memory with a max cap of 64GB, improved wireless and Ethernet solutions, as well as faster PCIe NVMe SSDs. The Predator Helios 700 will also be housing a 17.3-inch FHD IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate and NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology. Additionally, users will be able to swap out their WASD keys for Magforce keys to enjoy better-controlled movements as well as a better racing game experience.
Predator Helios 300
The Helios 300 is one of Acer’s most popular gaming notebooks, and it’s also getting an upgrade this year. Featuring Intel’s 10th Gen H-series processors, 15.6-inch FHD IPS display, overclockable NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2070 GPU, and a 240Hz refresh rate, this notebook is set to offer the best performance for the money.
Acer is powering the upgraded Helios 300 with a 32GB 2933MHz DDR4 RAM, two super-fast SSDs, and up to 2TB HDD. This desktop PC is also going to feature high-end 360-degree surround sound powered by DTS:X. Additionally, the brand is including Acer CoolBoost for continuous cooling and a newly designed Aeroblade 3D fan that increases airflow while reducing noise.

The Triton Lineup
The Predator Triton 300 is the only notebook getting an upgrade in the Triton lineup. Acer is calling it the ideal notebook for content creators and gamers. It is going to include some of the enhancements in the Helios 300, including 10th Gen Intel processors, 15.6 FHD IPS display, 240-hertz refresh rates, and up to Geforce RTX 2070 GPU.
However, it’s going to support 100% of the sRGB color space as well as 300 nits of brightness, making it an excellent machine for content creation and gaming. The Triton 300 will also have the capability to support 3 SSDs and will feature a thin and lightweight build that will make it easy to game and create content on the go.
The Nitro 7
Portability and functionality meet each other in the new Nitro 7 from Acer. Designed with a metal chassis and weighing just 5.51 pounds, this notebook will be perfect for gamers who would like a portable machine that makes it easy to game on the go. Its configurations will include a Geforce RTX 2060GPU, 32GB of DDR4 RAM, Intel’s 10th Gen H-series processors, and three slots for M.2 SSDs.
The Nitro 7 will also feature Intel’s WiFi 6 card well as Killer Ethernet E2600 so gamers can enjoy faster loading times and better responsiveness. It will come with a 15.6-inch FHD IPS display, 144-hertz refresh rate, and 3ms response time so players will be able to enjoy enhanced visuals and smoother gameplay.
Pricing and Release Dates
The Predator Helios 700 will be available in China in August with a starting price of RMB 44,999. North Americans will be able to purchase this device in October at a starting price of $2, 399.99, and it will be available in the EMEA in September for a starting price of EUR 2,699.
The Helios 300, on the other hand, will be available in North America in July, China in June, and the EMEA in July. The starting prices in each regions are $1,199.99, RMB 8,999, and EUR 1,299 respectively.
The Predator Triton 300 and the Nitro 7 will be available in North America and the EMEA only. While the Triton 300 will be available in North America in September, the Nitro 7 will hit the market in October. In the EMEA’s both the Triton 300 and the Nitro 7 will be made available in July. Their starting prices are $1,299.99 and EUR 1,399 respectively for the Triton, and $999.99 and EUR 1,299 for the Nitro 7.
