Acer Expands Its Predator Gaming Portfolio With Desktops, Monitors, and Accessories

Acer’s online global conference was a huge event revealing how poised the company is at dominating the desktop gaming market. With the brand’s new line of gaming desktops, monitors, and accessories, both experienced gamers and casual players are bound to find the right machine to suit their needs.

According to Jerry Kao, Acer’s Co-COO, these new devices feature some of the most powerful and innovative technologies available today. The products introduced at the event include three desktops, two monitor series, one gaming mouse, and a gaming chair. These components all come together to provide gamers across the world with an intuitive, comfortable, and solid gaming experience.

The Predator Orion 9000 is endowed with an Intel Core i9 Extreme Edition processor, two NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2080 Ti GPUs in SLI mode, two SSDs, and up to three HDDs. This desktop is one that will make any hardcore gamer excited. Sitting in a chassis that includes handles, wheels, and a headset cradle, this gaming PC delivers extreme capabilities, enhanced cooling, and easy upgradability. Three Predator FrostBlade fans will promote better airflow and enhanced static pressure. And a CPU liquid cooling fan will ensure that the machine doesn’t heat up. Additionally, overclocking can be done at the touch of a button.  Its improved USB 3.2 Type-C hot-swap dock for HDDs and SDDs simply makes the whole experience even better.

Sadly, Acer isn’t planning to release the Orion 9000 in North America. However, the brand is planning to introduce this gaming desktop to the EMEA and Chinese markets in October and September, respectively. The starting price for the Orion 9000 in the EMEA will be EUR 2,799 and RMB 20, 999 in China.

The Orion 3000 is the younger sibling to the Orion 9000. It is specially designed for gamers who are looking to get a medium rig to stream and enjoy their favorite games. This desktop features a 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and an NVIDIA Geforce RTX 2070 SUPER GPU. Additionally, it comes with two SATA3 hard drives, up to 1TB SSD, and two Predator FrostBlade fans to help keep its temperatures low. Connectivity won’t be an issue as this desktop PC for gaming comes with Killer Ethernet E2600 and WiFi 6 functionality.

Unlike its older sibling above, the Orion 3000 will be available in the North American market in September at a starting price of $999.99. It will also be available in China and the EMEA in July and August, respectively. The starting price for this gaming desktop PC in China will be RMB 8,999 and EUR 899 in the EMEA.

The third desktop Acer is releasing this year is the Nitro 50, which is going to an excellent choice for beginners and casual gamers. A 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, 64 gigs of RAM, 1TB SSD, and two 3TB HDD make up its spec sheet. It also features a Predator FrostBlade fan that helps bring the temperature down. This fan can be controlled and adjusted in real-time.

The Nitro 50 desktop gaming PC will be coming to North America in September at a starting price of $799.99. It will be sold in the EMEA in August at a starting price of EUR 799, while the Chinese market will see it in July, with a starting price tag of RMB 4,599.


Predator X25 Monitor

Acer also announced two monitor series during their global online conference. These series include the Predator X25 Monitor and the Predator XB3 series monitor. The Predator X25 monitor is a 24.5-inch 1080P monitor with a super-fast 360-hertz refresh rate. It features NVIDIA’s latest G-SYNC processors and comes with enhancements to make gaming a delightful experience, including color temperature and brightness control.

The XB3 series monitors, on the other hand, features three different monitors, including a 31.5-inch, 27-inch, and a 24.5-inch monitor. They are all compatible with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology and come with up to 4K UHD resolution and up to 240-hertz refresh rates. Also, users will be able to create the best lighting experience for themselves while enjoying better images and enhanced colors with the DisplayHDR 400 technology.


In the accessories department, Acer is rolling out a new gaming mouse that can be configured to suit many different gaming styles. The Predator Cestus 350 mouse is one that is touted to be incredibly fast while providing accurate controls. With its 8 programmable buttons, accurate optical sensor, and the ability to create up to five custom profiles, this mouse has the potential to become every gamer’s favorite in no time.

The last accessory revealed during Acer’s online global conference is the Predator Gaming Chair x OSIM. It’s one that’s bound to make gaming an even enjoyable and comfortable experience. This adjustable chair comes with three automatic massage programs allowing it to give satisfying massages to the neck and shoulders. It can also be customized to suit the height and body frame of the user, ensuring that they remain comfortable and experience no aches. With two built-in Bluetooth speakers delivering dynamic sound effects and eliminating the need for a headset, being immersed in the gaming world just got a new definition.
