It's a leather chair, and it has padded armrests. The wheels on the bottom are designed to swivel a full 360 degrees.

Despite its lack of features, the Furmax is well-built, and it fits the role of a gaming chair. The best part is that it costs less than $60. If you're the type of gamer that likes to invest in the best gear possible, you'll want to look elsewhere. However, casual gamers will enjoy the comfort that it provides for a low price.

  • 360 degree wheel swivels
  • Bucket seat
  • Lumbar support

4. Homall Gaming Racing Chair

The Homall gaming chair sacrifices fancy features for a fair price. While it doesn't have a massage unit or other crazy features, it does have all of the features that make it a good chair.

Visually, the Homall is stunning. It's made from PU leather, and its colors contrast beautifully. It's a dark grey color, and it has a lot of white accents.

The chair is designed to be as ergonomic as possible, and it has a lumbar cushion to help prevent back pain. The wheels swivel a full 360 degrees, and it's stronger than most of the chairs on our list. It can hold 300 pounds before you have to worry about any parts breaking.

The Homall is a great chair for anyone. It's priced low enough to appeal to budget gamers, and it has all of the features that hardcore gamers require for long gaming binges. However, if you want more features, you'll have to choose something like the Ficmax.

Key Features
  • Visually appealing
  • Lumbar support
  • 300 lb load capacity
  • 360 degree swivel
  • Reasonable price
Material PU leather Ergonomic DesignYes DimensionsHeight: 22.5 inches. Width: 19.8 inches.

5. GTRACING Video Game Chair

The GTRACING chair is basically an upgraded version of the Homall. They're not related in anyway, but the general feature list is the same. However, the GTRACING chair boasts a stronger frame, extra cushions, and a little more mobility.

The chair's cover is made from bonded leather, and it's filled with high-density foam. The headrest and lumbar cushions are made from the same high-quality materials. The frame on the GTRACING chair is impressive. It's made from solid steel. That increases the weight of the chair quite a bit, but it also means that it'll last longer. The load capacity is 300 pounds, though.

The GTRACING chair can recline up to 170 degrees, and it can swivel a full 360 degrees. The castors on the GTRACING chair are also made from premium materials for smooth movement.

Key Features
  • 300 lb load capacity
  • Bonded leather
  • Headrest and lumbar cushions
  • Steel frame
  • High-end castors
Material Bonded leather Ergonomic DesignYes DimensionsHeight: 51.97 inches. Length: 20.86 inches. Width: 48.82 inches.

6. KILLABEE Massage Reclining Gaming Chair

The KILLABEE is a lot like the Ficmax, but it's a little bit cheaper. It's designed to look and feel like a racing seat, and it's packed with a lot of the same features that are on the Ficmax.

The KILLABEE is made from PU leather, and it has a nylon base. It has the same headrest and lumbar cushions that the Ficmax has, but it has extra padding on the arm rests. It also has a built-in massage unit that is USB powered, and it has an extendable footrest.

The only feature that lacks the quality of the Ficmax is the load capacity. The KILLABEE can only hold 250 pounds before you have to worry about it collapsing. This is largely due to the use of a nylon frame. However, it's a little cheaper than the Ficmax. So, it's a way to save some money if you can fit in it.

Key Features
  • Massage unit
  • Lumbar support
  • Extra padding on the armrests
  • Cheaper than the Ficmax
  • Adjustable for comfort
Material PU leatherErgonomic DesignYes DimensionsHeight: 51 inches. Length: 22 inches. Width: 27 inches.

7. Devoko Racing Style Chair

This Devoko chair has one of the highest load capacities on this list, and it's a stylish chair built with comfort in mind. On top of that, it is priced just over $100. So, it's an affordable option for gamers on a budget.

The cover of the Devoko is made from PU leather that is resistant to fading, and it's easy to clean. The cushions inside of the Devoko are dense foam, but they're molded into a diamond pattern. The pattern helps to increase the chair's durability, and it makes it a little more durable.

The Devoko doesn't have many adjustment options. It can be raised and lowered via a pneumatic cylinder, but the armrests don't move, and it doesn't recline.

The Devoko does allow you to remove the head and lumbar cushions, though. That's not a major feature, but it does help give the chair to be customized a little bit.

In the end, the Devoko is just a really nice seating arrangement, and it doesn't cost a lot. What it lacks in options, it makes up for in quality. The chair can hold an astonishing 330 pounds, it's comfortable, and it's visually appealing.

Key Features
  • Visually appealing
  • Extra-high load capacity
  • Removable cushions
  • Pneumatic cylinder
  • Ergonomic
MaterialPU leather Ergonomic DesignYes DimensionsHeight: 53.5 inches. Length: 21 inches. Width: 22.5 inches.

8. Furmax Bucket Seat Gaming Chair

The last Furmax chair we reviewed wasn't that impressive. It was a decent chair for $60, though. This Furmax chair has a lot more features, and it only costs $99. So, we suggest that budget gamers buy this chair if they can handle spending just a little more money.

The chair is made out of PU leather. That's a bit standard on this list, but it's still a good chair material. The cushions are molded from a high-density foam, and Furmax didn't skimp on the foam. It's extra thick.

The Furmax is able to be reclined and rocked up to 180 degrees, and it has a footrest that can be extended and flipped. The only adjustment feature that it's missing is the option to move the armrests. The construction of the chair isn't low-quality, either. It can hold up to 310 pounds. That's not the highest load capacity on this list, but it's plenty of strength for most people.

One of the few drawbacks that this chair has is its color scheme. The cover is mostly black, but it has a lot of large splotches of light blue. The color scheme looks great, but it's not something that everyone will like because it's so bold

Key Features
  • 310 lb load capacity
  • PU cover
  • Thick foam cushions
  • Rocks and reclines
  • Bold color scheme
Material PU leather Ergonomic DesignYes DimensionsHeight: 32.3 inches. Width: 23 inches. Length: 20.9 inches.

9. OFM Racing Style Gaming Chair

This racing-style chair from OFM is affordable, comfortable, and highly adjustable. It costs less than $100, and it comes with features that aren't included with some of the more expensive chairs we've reviewed.

The seat cover is made from PU leather, and it has an eye-catching black and white color scheme. The cushions are made from molded foam like the rest of the chairs we've reviewed.

Unlike the other chairs, the OFM is completely adjustable. The armrests can be raised and pushed out of the way, and the seat reclines. The reclining feature includes a tension bar that prevents it from reclining too quickly. That allows you to precisely adjust it, and it keeps you from accidentally flying backwards.

The OFM doesn't have a lot of luxury features, but it is adjustable, and it costs less than a lot of the other options we've reviewed. It's also one of the few chairs on this list that have adjustable armrests. It's not a bad option, and it'll serve casual gamers and hardcore gamers equally well.

Key Features
  • Reclines
  • Adjustable armrests
  • Tension safety mechanism
  • 250 lb load capacity
  • PU leather
Material PU leather Ergonomic DesignYes DimensionsHeight: 44.80 inches. Width: 28.25 inches. Length: 30.50 inches

10. Merax Racing Style Computer Chair

The Merax is the third best chair on this list. It lacks some of the luxury features that the Ficmax and KILLABEE have for the same price, but it's a high-quality chair.

The Merax is made from PU leather, and it has a nylon base. Despite the base being made from nylon, it can hold 300 pounds safely. The chair is designed to look like a classic racing seat, and it has a very tall backing to support your entire body.

The armrests are adjustable on this model, but they aren't perfect. A lot of the other options on this list have very thick pads on the armrests, and the pads on the Mermax are extremely thin. Luckily, you can move them out of the way if they get uncomfortable.

This is a great alternative to the Ficmax and KILLABEE models we reviewed, but both of those are still better than this chair, and they only cost about $20 more.

Key Features
  • Adjustable armrests
  • 360 degree swivel
  • High backing
  • Heavily padded seat cushion
  • Slightly cheaper than the KILLABEE
Material PU leather Ergonomic DesignYes DimensionsHeight: 49 inches. Width: 22 inches. Length: 20 inches

Best Gaming Chairs under $200 Buyer’s Guide

There are a few key points that you need to consider before you commit to buying a gaming chair. In this section, we’re going to go over those points, and we’re going to give you a few pointers to help you out.

Whatever you do, don’t just buy a chair that looks good. If you’re gaming, you’re probably going to be sitting in your chair for a very long time. Over the course of several years, those long gaming binges can cause muscle problems in your back. To prevent that, you need to make sure that the chair you buy satisfies your needs in each of the categories that we’re about to go over.

Ergonomics

A gaming chair shouldn’t be designed like a standard rocking chair. It should be contoured to match the natural bends of your body, and the armrests should be designed to comfortably support your arms in a natural way.

Almost all of the chairs on our list are designed with ergonomics in mind. You can trust that they’ll support your body in a natural way. The one or two that aren’t should only be purchased by casual gamers. If you find a chair on your own, and it’s not designed to be ergonomic, the same applies to it. They’re only good for people who game for short periods of time. Everyone else needs an ergonomic chair.

Material

Gaming chairs can be quite expensive. Our list is comprised of the best budget chairs, and a lot of them are still almost $200. You don’t want to spend that type of money just to end up with a ripped up mess.

All of the chairs we’ve suggested are made from PU leather or real leather. Both of those materials are very durable, and they’re easy to clean. Chairs made from other fabrics will tear easier, and they’ll stain easier. Make sure that you buy something made from PU leather or real leather. If you do, you won’t have to buy a new one for quite some time.

Armrests

Adjustable armrests aren’t a necessity, but they are a great feature to invest in. Everyone’s arms are a different length and build. You’ll want to be able to at least rotate the arms of your chair a bit. That being said, most budget chairs don’t allow you to do that. There are a few options on our list that do, though.

Regardless of whether or not the arms move, you’ll want to buy a chair that has heavily padded armrests. Your arms can end up sitting on them for hours at a time, and you don’t want thin pads to hurt your muscles.

Load Capacity

You have to be honest when you go to buy a gaming chair. Will you fit in it? Every gaming chair has a maximum load capacity, and it’s unsafe to sit in a chair that isn’t rated to hold your body weight.

It isn’t too difficult for the majority of people to find a chair that can hold them, though. One of the options on our list can hold up to 330 pounds, and none of them are incapable of holding someone who weighs 250 pounds. The ratings change greatly based on what chair you look at, though. So, always make sure that you check the chair’s spec sheet for its load capacity.

Conclusion

In the end, there are three chairs that really stand out on our list. The other chairs are great alternatives to our top three, though.

The Ficmax is the most expensive chair on our list, but it is absolutely packed with features, and it has some luxury features that you typically have to pay a lot more for. If you have $200 to spend, this is the chair that will benefit the most people.

The Devoko is a racing-style chair that boasts the highest load capacity on our list, and it’s a lot cheaper than the Ficmax. The Devoko is suitable for heavier gamers that have to stick to a budget.

The Merax is a great chair for a large amount of gamers, and it’s cheaper than the Ficmax. The only feature that it doesn’t have is heavy padding for the armrests, and it doesn’t have a massage unit. You can do without both of those features in most circumstances. It’s still an option that we only suggest for people who are going to play for reasonable amounts of time because of the armrests, though.

While the Furmax chairs aren’t the best chairs on our list, they are the best options for gamers on very tight budgets, and they’re worth mentioning in this section. Both of them are cheap, and the racing-style Furmax has a lot of the features that you’d expect in a much more expensive chair.
